Sheet-mask review: Huxley Secret of Sahara

In collaboration with The Pop Up Vault.

Good morning lovelies! My energy levels haven´t been that great, ergo no post last week. But, we´re back! Emilie and I thought it would be nice to do beauty reviews in collab with one of our amazing partners, The Pop Up Vault. PS: Everything on their site is vegan, cruelty-free, and natural! Also, they offer FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Yes, yes, yes!

Sunday´s are the perfect day to pamper yourself, and today, we´re reviewing the sheetmasks from the k-beauty brand HUXLEY. First of all, let´s talk packaging. It´s simple, yet compelling. Loving the minimalist vibe! This is my first time trying out cruelty free K-beauty, and I have already fallen madly in love.

Huxley provides solutions for skin that suffers from harmful environmental elements and stress in urban areas. Their key ingredient, certified-organic Sahara prickly pear cactus seed oil, is carefully sourced in Morocco.

Secret of Sahara sheet mask oil and extract pack consists of 3 single sheet masks. Usually, sheet masks are soaked in a nutrition-packed solution, also known as serum. These masks, are not. Say hello to the new way of sheet masking! When prickly pear seed oil and cactus extract meet, something magical happens: they transform into a unique formula, taking both skin and sheet masking to the next level! Hint: it involves lots of antioxidants.

The mask is made up of micro woven fiber sheet, which is 150 times fines than regular fibers. Accordingly, this contributes to boosting the masks ability to absorb the essence more effectively. This is definitely a great way for hydrating and moisturizing all skin types. Particularly, if you´re like me, it´s a perfect fit to my dehydrated skin.

- Super soft texture

- Ingredients are soothing, and definitely hydrated my skin

- The smell is SO good (Huxley, please make a perfume based on this...)

- Mask felt dry after 15 minutes

- There will be excess oil (tip: apply before bed, or massage into skin)

- Had some troubles with adhering and fitting it onto my face,

especially around the eye-area. But, this could be due to my facial features ;-)

Definitely a mask I would recommend to those who suffer from dull, autumn/winter skin! The smell is really good, and the oil itself could probably be used alone as a overnight serum. Also, the fact that you get 3 masks in one package means that you´re not paying a fortune. Finally, the masks are free of parabens, synthetic dyes and mineral oils - So, yes, definitely thumbs up. 4/5!
